…But Not With Haste?
The title of my blog are the last four words to my favorite Mumford and Sons song, Not With Haste, off their Babel record. The lesson of loving and living with urgency, but not with haste, is one I’ll be going back to time and time again.
My Story
Hello and welcome to my tiny corner of the Internet. I created this blog to write and share some of the many reflections, lessons, and connections I have made, and continue to make, during my life.
I grew up in West Michigan in the USA where I lived for the first 31 years of my life. Then, I moved to Galway, Ireland in order to pursue a PhD in Education. My personal and professional passions are related to relationships and sexuality education, feminist research, anti-racist learning, vulnerability, grief, and history. I love to travel, cook & bake, listen to live music, spend time with loved ones, consume too much tv, and read fantasy, romance, historical fiction, memoirs, and non-fiction books related to my various interests. If you check out my Favorites page, you can see some of my favorite tv shows, books, albums, and teachers from throughout my life.
I recognize my privileges as a white, cisgender, heterosexual woman from the States and that my experiences and life are are not relatable or relevant to many people. If something I write does resonate with you, I hope you share with others.
Cheers!
